Disclaimer: MikesRightBrain is non-partisan, of course. But I had the privilege of attending the historic rally last night in Grant Park as Barack Obama was announced as the President-Elect. The crowd was amazingly peaceful, gleeful and polite. I was frankly nervous and not sure what to expect, but the air was so full of optimism and good will; I'll never forget it. This must have been what it was like when Kennedy was elected in the 60's.

More MRB crowd shots will be coming.

I was there too. Your picture captures the enormity of the crowd. Although some large crowds are annoying, this one held the promise of Americans at their best. So much fun.
