I was up in one of our conference rooms last week taking a headshot photo of a friend of mine. It was raining pretty hard outside up here at the top of a 36-story building. I was looking out the window and saw this green bug sitting there in the rain and took this shot of it. I of course didn't have my macro lens in my bag or else I would have had a much better shot... this was the best I could do. Thanks to the excellent resolution on the camera, I was able to zoom in pretty tightly in the crop. Here's a shot of the uncropped original... the best my lens could do! Note the skyline visible in the raindrops...

an amazing abstract.
print it, frame it, hang it.
What you did from the original is also pretty amazing, you have THE eye

Great picture, great work on cropping it. I like the uncropped one too. Really good.

This is so cool. Almost looks like a cartoon.

PS I LOVE how you can see the inverted skyline in the rain drops.

When I first saw it, I thought you had photographed a cartoon - really cool.

The cartoon comments are right on......the limited dof, the becomes an abstraction. Nicely seen and photographed.
