We all took a trip to Maryland this weekend to visit family. I got there a day early to take a few portraits for a project that is nearing completion (I hope to share images from that later on). Anyway, the field behind my aunt's house was full of blooming cherry blossom trees. We don't get to see these in such wonderful colors in the midwest. They really are beautiful! And the sky was just the right darkened shade from some storms that passed over, which tends to give everything a glowing quality.

We should have coordinated our travel schedules! We arrived in MD on Saturday and are still here! It is so wonderful to see the green grass and leaves and Allie just loves all the pink trees...

Cool fisheye effect at 8mm! I just got a 15mm lens and have been looking for topside subjects that take well to the fisheye. What a beautiful image!
