My friend Brian let me know last week that he was getting bored and depressed at all the desolation and destruction up on this site recently! Well, hopefully you can put up with just a few more days, because I have just a couple of more shots that I want to share... Hopefully I can make it a bit more interesting (see below).

After we finished at the factory, we went over to the old Gary Post Office, which was wide open. It was very eerie in there, and the floor was frozen solid. The little wooden blocks that used to make up the floor surface popped up and looked like little islands (indeed one of them looked like Manhattan, I thought). Here's another standard MRB wide shot of the space. This is one of my favorite photos from the entire trip because I think it looks so surreal.

John from Photoentropy has a fantastic and very creative panorama up today of the factory. Yours truly is in it.

Oh and you MUST SEE this amazing pair of HD videos that Mark from Probe3 put together just after our trip. The videos really captured the surreal-ness of the experience. You can see our crew (and yours truly) in there doing our thing. (The video's are entitled "Abandoned City" Parts 1 and 2). Check them out, and be sure to turn the sound up on your speakers!

Fantastic shot here Mike.

I didn't think of the Manhattan reference until you mentioned that... so true! I like how cold this one feels with the color balance you used... very different from my style of baking everything :)

Thanks, guys. I actually didn't use much color balancing at all; it looked like this to my eye.
