We left Zamboanga yesterday for Manila. Zamboanga International Airport is small, right in the center of town, and has only a single gate. On my way into the airport I saw a crowd of people waiting for friends and relatives to arrive from our incoming aircraft. Because I was about to enter through security it was one of the few times I didn't have my camera holstered and at-the-ready. As I turned around to look at the crowd's faces, they all looked warmly familiar and friendly.

This shot is one that I took as I exited the airport through the same door when I first arrived here a few days earlier. Things for some reason looked much different to me then; perhaps because it was the first time I entered a country that had such a large Muslim population. It was so alarming that I snapped this quick shot wanting to capture that feeling. What a change after only a few days in this wonderful place. Off to Manila.
