Well, I ran the Chicago Marathon yesterday, and it was an awful experience. It was 91 degrees, they were running out of water, and they ended up shutting the race down early. Needless to say the runners near the end of the race did not have smiling faces like these...

This is a shot of kids and their parents running in a local race event on Saturday morning. I did my best not go get run over!

I'm a dedicated runner but I'm afraid that I would have backed out of a 91 degree Marathon!

I love the sheer explosive fun of this . . a fun run really does generate a sense of collective purpose!

This is a great picture, great perspective as usual! And they are having so much FUN!

I was sad to hear a runner died there. That is awfully hot to run a marathon. It was 37 degree's here that day, amazing the drastic difference!

heard a person died during the marathon on abc7. Still a pretty good experience.

Oh good, so you didn't die. That's always a good post-marathon outcome.
