This is Mike, my barber, in his shop in the financial district. On the day I took this picture a couple of weeks ago, he retired after 51 years of cutting hair. He's a great guy, and I will really miss my bi-weekly routine of going to see him. A number of us took him out for drinks and revelry that evening. Over the years, Mike cut the hair of politicians, judges, celebrities and mobsters. What a history, and what stories!

Is that the guy who cut my hair? I thought he was in the Tribune bldg?

Great portrait Mike and I think a wonderful tribute as well. Did he receive a copy of this?

Great pic of him in his environment! That is sad when they retire but I'm sure he is looking forward to some fun relaxing years!

Fifty one years on the job and smiling... That's happiness.
It's not always the photo, for me (at least) the story behind the photo is equally (if not more) important.
Lovely. Well done.

Excellent! You are the fish eye king.
Two hair cuts a year that's my limit.

I see a happy man. I imagine he has enough stories to publish.
