It has been a crazy few days for MRB...

We have been vacationing in our usual spot in North Carolina since last week, and my trusty, brand-new laptop decided to crash on the first night of our trip! Attempts to fix the thing have involved a trip up to Raleigh, NC to the local Apple Store, where they told me that the drive (and its thousands of photos) were unsalvageable. I went through the usual anger, denial and finally acceptance of the loss over the past few days, realizing that my backups at home are probably intact. Anyway, this is why there have been no posts from down here for several days; luckily my father-in-law's little laptop has learned the ins and outs of MRB postings and heavy-duty camera unloading. I finally am able to post today! Thanks for your patience if you have been waiting...

So here's a photo of my oldest son doing a late-evening frolic on the ocean, trying to catch a glimpse of France. We've been going for strolls along the beach each evening, and it has been wonderful. The weather has been unusually cool in the evenings, which has cut down on the mosquitoes somewhat.
