We went to Six Flags Great America in Gurnee, IL yesterday to see a dance festival. Of course, we went on several of the unbelievable roller coasters there. This one, however, called the Vertical Velocity, was one I had no interest in riding. My oldest, however, thought it was great! The park was quite empty given the stormy skies and intermittent rain, and I was surprised that some rides kept on going despite the ominous clouds.

Oh gosh, I'd never go on that thing. Well, maybe if you gave me a new in the box Dynax 9, but that's it. Oh, and you'd have to sedate me first.

I like the angle on this very much, the sky behind does look a bit ominous. I would ride it, I may not like it, but you won't know unless you try.

I rode that once and somehow survived it without having to wear a diaper! ;)

Great photo and you've got to go on that ride! One of my favorites - but I'm a roller coaster girl

No way in the world would you get me on this contraption - no matter what the weather was like! -- Great use of diagonal composition.

This looks GREAT assuming the line was too long to bungie jump.
