We woke up early this morning and went to the traveling memorial for the Iraqi war down in Grant Park. The designers of this exhibit lined up a pair of boots representing each US soldier who has fallen in the war since it started over 4 years ago. Each pair of boots has a tag, and often there was something personal written about each solder by their family on or in the boots. Visiting this was a fitting thing to do today, which is Memorial Day here in the United States. It was also a very sobering, difficult thing to see.

I've seen the exhibit previously but I like the manner in which you've displayed it!
Good low level camera position to gain a good visual persepctive and grasp of the number of these boots the symbolise a life lost in war. Colour content is superb without looking saturated.

What is unfortunate is that these soldiers have died for no real cause. We all know that Dubya fought this war for his ego and control of oil reserves.

Another smack in the face with reality. Very moving shot Mike.
