These are the hands of the dad of one of my best friends. We were over at my friend's loft some years ago for a party, and were listening to his dad play some jazz on an old rickety piano. He is an excellent player, and he has a slow deliberateness to the way that he plays that makes his sound very soothing... I took this with my old camera and have been working on it for awhile, cloning out the distractions. I think I'm finally happy with it now.

I love this picture! I can almost hear the music!

This was perfect in B&W... Brings nostalgia into the scene, and the shallow dof makes it even better.

I also like the backlight :o)

A lovely and caring portait Mike. It leaves me feeling as if I've met the man.
