My oldest has been growing her hair out over the past year for Locks of Love, an organization that provides hairpieces to children suffering medical-related hair loss. After nearly twelve months, it was finally long enough to cut. We all went to the hair salon this weekend, and they prepped it, measured it and cut it. There were a few tears, but after a few minutes she got over that. We were very proud of her, and quite excited that we could now see her face instead of a mop of hair!

She has beautiful hair and what a sweetheart for doing that. The little girl down the road from us just did the same thing three weeks ago. You tell your daughter she has surely blessed someone.

Very touching. You should be proud of her. I guess gestures like this goes a long way.

That is so cool. My sister did the same thing actually, what a difference from super long to super short! No way i could do it, I'm treasuring what hair i have left. haah! Nice colors on this one!
