Well, here's yours truly about a half-hour after the starting gun running north on LaSalle Street. This is the financial district of the downtown "loop" area, and it certainly feels alien to have so many people running down this canyon of buildings.

The camera rig I was carrying let me hold the camera about three feet in front of me to take this shot. You can see me carrying it in a great shot that John from Photoentropy took just after the starting horn from a bridge over Columbus Drive. I first met John on that bridge last year as we were snapping pictures for the same event. In a wild coincidence, he had seen MikesRightBrain before. He'll be posting more shots from the race in a few more days.

I cannot give you enough woo hoos for not just running the entire race, but carrying your rig with you!! You are too cool! (And you have my permission to use that quote on your kids when they hit their teen years and try to tell you otherwise.)
