Here's another one from the Washburne series. One of the eeriest things about this place was how there were many rooms that appeared only recently abandoned; i.e. there were objects that looked like they had been used only recently. Of course, that's probably because they had been used only recently... by homeless people or whomever inhabited that building when we weren't there. Check out John from Photoentropy's site today for his interpretation of the same scene...

* News from MikesRightBrain and Gratuitous Self-Promotion: I was named a winner in this year's Photo Issue of TimeOut Chicago. Check it out here.

** You may have noticed that the archived shots are mis-aligned with the old template. I am still in the long and tedious process of up-rezzing all 320 of the previous MRB shots. Once those are all done I'll be able to upgrade the entire site. Right now it's only the homepage that uses the new template. Thanks for your patience as I continue the upgrades to the site.

The contrast is great here. I like that you can see the closer wall here too.

What you said about the stuff there being used recently. It's fortunate that you didn't run into any unfriendlies. I like this version more, the lighting is so eerie which is the best thing about a place like this.

One gets the feeling like the chair is being put under investigation the way that it is positioned. And that it could give away a lot of stories if persuaded. Spectacular lighting!

Congrats on your recognition for the swim-training image!
