The Gay Games were held in Chicago last week, and I was trying to find a good way of capturing all the activity. It was a much larger event than I thought it would be, and athletes from around the world were all over the city for a week. I got up early last weekend to watch the triathlon competition on Lake Shore Drive. The city closed part of the drive, and set out a bike course similar to the Accenture Triathlon (the world's largest) that is held here in late August. The riders came by so fast it was nearly impossible to capture them; this is my favorite shot of the set.

** You may have noticed that the archived shots are mis-aligned with the old template. I am still in the long and tedious process of up-rezzing all 320 of the previous MRB shots. Once those are all done I'll be able to upgrade the entire site. Right now it's only the homepage that uses the new template. Thanks for your patience as I continue the upgrades to the site.

Nice shot. It's cool how even though you said that they were moving so fast it was hard to capture, here it looks as if he is motionless, like waiting for the race to start. I love the sharp focus of the biker and the grainy road below.

I have shot a lot of bicycle races but this one is awesome. Its almost like he is riding on a magic carpet. Great work

The crisp granularity of the pavement makes a great backdrop for the biker
