Nikon D2X

Capture Date/Time: June 6, 2006 14:50
Aperture/Shutter Speed: F/5 - 1/1250 sec
Focal Length: 200 mm
ISO: 200
Flash: None

I put the high-speed crop mode of the D2X through its paces last week. It really made me realize that a 6 MP photo is often indistinguishable from a 12 MP photo, even up very close. Anyway, for some reason, this is one of my favorite beach shots from the trip; there was much wave-jumping going on and the water and lighting were cooperating quite nicely. Exposure settings on the beach were, as always, difficult. Thank goodness for RAW C1. The model here is my brother-in-law's girlfriend. Have a great weekend!

Awesome action shot, just love it!

BTW, the pics on my blog today....another guy came up next to me with YOUR camera and started snapping away. Put my camera to shame, lol. (not to mention the lense) Maybe one day I can afford one that nice!

Not only did you capture the splash at the perfect moment, but could you have asked for better background colors? This shot is a contest winner somewhere.

The foam jump out of the screen... Very realistic shot.
