Here's a different viewpoint of the Intracoastal Waterway just before a huge storm really let loose. That's the gazebo of the dock from so many previous photos posted here. Just two minutes prior to this photo, I was out there under that gazebo and ran back to the house when a blast of cold wind and rain came over the water. Nothing like running out in the open carrying a large metal tripod in the middle of a lightning-filled storm!

I was just running through a lightning storm with my tripod three weeks ago. I should've known better, but the excitement of the whole event was far too great a rush.

The overall mood of this shot is forbidding... I like the colors of the marsh vegetation in the foreground.
