Aperture/Shutter Speed: F/1.4 - 1/250 sec
ISO: 200

I saw a photo in a gallery yesterday of a window like this one, so I searched through the archives to find it. I took this shot of my daughter on a trip to Ellis Island last Thanksgiving. I didn't bring a wide-enough angle lens to get the whole window, but I think you get the idea. She's pretty shadowed out by the overexposed window, but looking at it now I kind of like the effect.

Nice photo, like the fading background.

Nice subject and composition but it sure would have benefited from a wider lens. But hey, you did great with it anyway.

Perhaps a touch wider but this works ok too because your daughter being the focus and delightfully of centre and cropped. She looks like she is floating across the screen.

I love this one, Mike. The setting feels like it is there just for your daughter.

Great idea placing your daughter there. It show how large the window is.

I don't really agree with needing a wide lens, I think it's wonder as it is. There's symmetry with the curves of the window and the pattern makes a visually interesting photograph. On my screen, she looks a tad oversharpened although it could just be due to jpg compressions or just my older monitor.

Wonderful picture, very nice indeed.
