Sorry for the long posting hiatus. I have been absolutely swamped with work and travel this week, and I still have not been able to get the future posting capability of MT to work right. I think I have fixed the bugginess and will try that again.

Anyway, on Wednesday I was in Washington, D.C. for a court hearing. I stayed at the old Willard Hotel, which is very close to the White House. The hotel is quite a jewel, and just before I was about to leave for the evening I framed up this shot of the very ornate ceiling in the lobby. It was just a throwaway shot, but I really like the way it turned out.

I like the way this turned out also...and having a person in the picture gives it a great perspective. It is a bit dizzying!

Ah the Willard...famous great old hotel! Nice exposure which must have been tricky.

More fish eye magic! Super shot. Heading DC next weekend via train just for fun.

Glad you didnt throw it away, i like the perspective and think it is improved by having someone in it.

that person of course being the person holding the camera ie you.

you sure make a self portrait quite interesting! I looks like it was a gorgeous hotel!

You know - sometimes fewer posts = better posts. I need to slow down sometimes, so I've stopped posting on weekends again. And if I couldn't do autoposting, I doubt I'd post at all.

certainly a new way of looking at things...and I get a bit dizzy too, which least to say, the image is creating such a big impact, hehehe!
