Nikon D2X

Capture Date/Time: October 31, 2005 15:08
Focal Length: 70 mm
Aperture/Shutter Speed: F/2.8 - 1/350 sec
ISO: 400
Flash: None

Just one more from Monday's Halloween parade. This shot is one of my favorites, not only because of the great expression on our little friend's face, but because of the sharpness of the shot. It was amazing how quickly the kids were moving as they marched around in the parade. With the long focal length I was using, it was surprisingly difficult to capture them clearly, even at high shutter speeds.

Nice capture Mike.
True what Adriana from reasonoflife.org said to me... Kids shots everywhere. :)
This is very well balanced.

This is a gorgeous, young, little Cupid! I really like how her beautiful blue eyes are staring down your lens.

I like the soft glowing effect. Did you use a diffuser or another technique? The little girl is pretty, but the makeup too strong.

I'm pretty sure that the makeup is part of the costume! Thanks for the comments...

What a beautiful portrait of this little girl on Halloween. I too, love her expression...somehow very wise and peaceful for her age. The softness is very fitting for her costume.

Gorgeous softness for this pink cupid. Very nice.

It is a lovely shot. I like the softness of the image whilst it is all shaply in focus like a soft focus filter almost. Great expression and eye contact
