The windows in my office building downtown are washed by these guys who rappel down the side of the building using suction cups and rope. As you can see, we're pretty high up and it gives me the willies every time I see them out there. Plus it scares you when they swing over and slam into the window. This gentleman did not seem thrilled that I was taking his picture, but it wasn't like there was anything he could do about it!

Now you have a clear view of the Aon/Amoco/Standard Oil building. Though if I were the guy out on the rope I think I'd be scared out of my mind, what with the height and the typical strong winds. Though I wish I worked on a floor this high. Great capture. Nice that you had your camera with you to take this.

I like the shot. It always amazes me to see window cleaners at work, especially when hanging alone like that.

Mike! This is such a cooool shot! (I wish this guy would clean my windows too, but this shall not be the subject here!).

The real question is...how does he manage to keep his hat on while performing his death defying squeegee stunts?

The exposure is just right- I'm impressed that I can even see the soap suds against the bright sky in the upper left corner. Unique shot! That's for sure.

ha! this is an interesting shot, Mike. I like the emotion captured in this photo. Remember how we tend to become so absorbed in what we're doing that sometimes, we actually become unaware of tour facial reactions. it's great how you captured it here.

As everyone has said...this is a great shot! I like the texture of the soapy window and the choice of black & white. Your narrative with it really makes it complete (and made me smile!).
