After the runners came through there were only the cups and the mess. The water station teams used rakes to pile the cups up high and scoop them into bags, very much like leaves. After all of that activity, the canyon of State Street was eerily quiet.

This is the last marathon pic for awhile. I made my way towards the finish line and was going to capture some excruciated faces there, but my camera's battery ran out of juice. That has never happened to me before, but I now carry a spare battery wherever I go. Anyway, thanks for all of the comments. On to other things!

I really like the depth of field in this shot. Colors are good, composition is tight.

It's an interesting shot, very original.
