Of the many closer shots taken at Sunday's marathon, this is one of my favorites. I'm not exactly sure why. It's somewhat near the first couple of miles of the race, but I think it captures how fast people were moving. Many of the other action shots were either too blurry or too frozen. Another reason I like this one is that it shows people who have clearly had some sun. This marathon usually is scheduled just after the weather takes a turn into fall-like chill, and any reminder of summer is quite welcome.
