A shot from earlier this summer of the daughter of a friend of a friend. The kids were playing in an Amazon.com box in the backyard. It's amazing how much fun kids can have with just a cardboard box...

It's true about the cardboard box. There was even a Spongebob Squarepants episode about what someone can do with imagination and a box. Great expression on the girl. She looks like she's out of one of those Japanese anime series, but maybe I've watched too many cartoons :)

I just found your site from Archie's links over at Whateverland. Fantastic work! My little brother just recently moved to Chicago which has peaked my interest in the windy city. Hoping to visit soon. Your shots of the local sights have me excited to get there! Thanks.

Adorable shot. I like how the lighting gives it a subtle glow-like look. Very cute. I kinda wish her whole head were in the frame though.

Yes.. kids are so fascinated with boxes! No need extravagent gifts.. they will take the box! Why I used to use it to slide down grassy hills.. Her expression is priceless by the way! Great shot of a favorite past time!

Lovely expressions and yes you are right about how simple the needs of kids are, my son gets fascinated by everything he sees.
